If you fancy a break in the Malaga sunshine but not on the costas head inland. Just about a scenic hours drive by the side of the glistening Mediterranean Sea, then a charming, windy climb with roadside grape vines and avocado trees takes you to the delightful small town of Cómpeta.
This is the Axarquia region and on the edge of one of Andalucia´s many Natural Parks – Parque Natural de Tejeda, Almijara & Alhama. A great area for walking, mountain biking or just taking in views and relaxing. Where better to relax than Malaga Hills Boutique & Wellness B&B our weekend stay with its motto ´Take it Easy.´ We did.
Pool-and-gym-area
Evening strolls into the town of Cómpeta, honesty bar drinks on our valley and sea view terrace. We tested the all-year round pool, the gym equipment – very briefly and basically just chilled in the peace and quiet of its out of town location.
Being adult-only it is a hideaway near enough to civilisation and the beach if wanted yet far enough away to enjoy the silence and get in the ´take it easy´groove.
