The resort’s Sapori Cooking Academy already offers a rich calendar of activities for guests, including two classes per day dedicated to Italian cuisine and pastries. New this year are cooking classes that include harvesting in the garden and cooking together with the chef during a special Chef’s Table.

Inspired by Alice Marriott’s love of gardening, the JW Garden is an oasis of serenity that welcomes guests, inviting them to holistic well-being inspired by nature, and where fragrant aromatic herbs and local ingredients are cultivated. From flavorful heritage tomatoes to hand-picked herbs, each dish is a testament to the garden’s commitment to sustainable dining, from farm to table.

Sustainability remains a key priority in 2024. New initiatives include the installation of photovoltaic panels, which will cover approximately 70 percent of the island’s electricity needs, making the resort one of Venice’s pioneers in the field of renewable energy. In collaboration with EPNT, the resort will monitor energy consumption in real time and optimize energy usage, with the goal of effectively reducing both gas and electricity consumption by 20%. At the same time, a water recycling system for irrigation will be implemented, thus contributing to sustainable management of environmental resources.

New collaboration with V73, a brand of women’s bags, accessories, and footwear born from the creativity of designer Elisabetta Armellin, whose Collection inspired by Venice in a modern key offers bags made from recycled raw materials with the lowest quantity of toxic and polluting substances. The brand prioritizes partners committed to environmental responsibility, and has an existing partnership with gOOOders brand, offering guests ethical products and accessories like organic fair-trade cotton sweatshirts and T-shirts with the slogan “Venezia is always a goood idea”.
Wellness & Recreation
What’s New:
- In collaboration with BAKEL, a 100% Italian brand that prioritizes innovation, research and development, the resort will offer the new JALU-3D Pro* Instant 3D Treatment and Pep3D, a line of treatments studied extensively and capable of eliminating the signs of aging and with a visible and immediate effect of revitalized, toned, and luminous skin. JW Marriott Venice Resort & SPA, the only spa in Venice to offer this innovative treatment.
- This season, the spa will also offer Hydrafacial®, a skincare experience that offers a combination of targeted steps to exfoliate, cleanse, and hydrate the skin. This treatment has been carefully developed to visibly improve the overall appearance of the skin, reduce signs of aging, and provide hydration, brightness, and uniformity to the face.
- The property will debut two paddle courts in June. In addition, the property’s dedicated recreation team will orchestrate a rich events calendar with a variety of outdoor activities, including excursions and fitness and yoga classes designed for the fun and well-being of all guests.
