Welcome to the Dugout

Have a favourite team? Need a place to watch the big game? Not a sport’s fan but are married to one? If you’re in Exeter, head to the new boutique Hotel Indigo, where a cozy sport bar, the Dugout, just opened, making it the  hottest game day ticket in town.

Step Into The Dugout

The long awaited Dugout Sports Bar finally opened its doors at the Hotel Indigo Exeter on Monday 21 November, 2022 and welcomes fans, friends, and families to experience the atmosphere, passion, and team spirit of live sport.

Food & Drink

The best fans deserve some great food and at the Dugout they can fuel up with tasty food and drink such as honey, soy and bourbon glazed wings by the kilogram, classic and wild boar hot dogs, chicken or beef burgers, loaded fries, and dessert if you can fit it in.

Cheers to a good match (and a win!) with pints of Somerset Cider, British and craft lagers, and a rotation of guest ales. The hotel’s Colson’s Restaurant is also delighted to announce the appointment of their new Chef Charlotte Vincent, who is currently on BBC 2 ‘Great British Menu’.

Raised in Exeter, Charlotte completed her Master’s degree in Psychology and Human Biology at the University of Plymouth before joining the Royal Logistics Corp of the British Army.

She then joined Michael Caines at Gidleigh Park, where she worked as a pastry chef, before moving to The Royal Clarence Hotel. She took over at The Five Bells (now closed) in Devon, and quickly earned the pub a place in the UK’s Top 50 Gastropubs.

We’re also delighted to welcome Charlotte to the team who will be a tremendous asset to Colson’s Restaurant”.

Nick Daniels is a charismatic and gregarious bloke who found his knack for writing during his travels around the world. Born and raised in the heart of the midlands South Africa, Nick found himself travelling between the three major cities all his life which gave him his sense of freedom and independence. After completing a Bachelor of commerce degree under the exceptional cloth of Table Mountain in Cape Town, Nick ventured off on his first major travel experience to become an English teacher in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This experience was a complete eye opener into life in SouthEast Asia and where one might say, he was bitten by the infamous “travel bug”. After two years in Vietnam, he Studied a postgraduate degree in Education through the University of Sunderland where he went on to teach English Language Arts, Social Studies and Math at two of the top tier schools in the calm chaotic city of Saigon. After being to places such as the bustling streets of Thailand, devouring the delicious cuisines in Malaysia, finding enlightenment in the skyscrapers in Singapore and the swimming in beautiful coral reefs of the Philippines, Nick decided that it was time to return to the UK enter into the exquisite world of a travel writer. Nick now finds himself in London (for now) as he looks to take on the challenge of creating his own journey as the Chief Experience Officer of BeSeeingYou.
