Start spreading the news and decking the halls! After a multi-year restoration of the Villard Mansion (the façade of the Lotte New York Palace), its iconic courtyard Christmas tree is back, just in time to celebrate the start of the holiday season. Lotte New York Palace is known for its festive décor and this year the midtown hotel has rolled out an array of holiday programming including an outdoor winter bar, weekends with the Rockettes, specialty holiday cocktails, and an indulgent USD 100K package whose proceeds go directly to the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation.
Lotte New York Palace is a must-visit holiday destination in the Big Apple for New Yorkers and travellers alike. Here’s what not to miss this season:
-The Winter Bar at the Palace: To complement the re-opening of the courtyard, the Palace will be welcoming a new and exciting outdoor bar, open from 3-9 p.m. daily beginning 22 November. The bar will serve hot chocolate, hot buttered rum, Hennessy Hot Toddy and more delectable cocktails alongside holiday cookies.
-A Signature cocktail: The North Pole: Sip on this cheerful new take on a holiday martini with Absolut Vanilla Vodka and a crushed candy cane rim, served in the Gold Room.
-Letters to Santa: Young guests will receive personalized postcards to send to Santa in the larger-than-life North Pole mailbox, including a hand-written reply “from the desk of Santa Claus” that will magically appear in your room during the stay.
-The Gingerbread Palace: An architectural masterpiece in miniature form which will be on display in the Grand Lobby. This Palace holiday tradition takes the Lotte pastry team more than 300 hours along with 110 pounds of flour and fondant to craft this sweet seasonal salute to the landmark building. On view from 22 November.
-Weekends with the Rockettes: Drop by for a visit and to snap pictures with the iconic Rockettes on Saturday 2, 9, and 16 of December from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
