Shelly Beach is Every Surfers Paradise Greetings from a very very hot down-under with temperatures soaring all over the country. This is definitely beaching weather, and where more popular than Surfers Paradise, in Queensland. Known by all as “Surfers” this certainly is aptly named with its high-rise apartments and 150-meter wide stretch of sand, that extends for 10 km in each direction. The beach is patrolled year-round and it is safe to swim always between the flags. With the warm Pacific Ocean on one side, the deep blue Nerang.

River on the other, and more shops, restaurants, high-rise resorts, and attractions than probably any other peninsular on earth-Surfers Paradise is the undisputed tourist capital of Australia, and some would even argue the world.
There is no end of activities on the Gold Coast, Jet Boating, Flying, Skydiving, and Ice skating. The largest gaming center in Australia. Museums, Strike bowling, Karaoke, Galleries, Beachfront markets, and Nightlife. The list goes on and on.
For those that would rather delve into the outback of Australia, where better to adventure than Uluru, formerly known as Ayers Rock? This iconic location is sacred to the Aboriginal people of the area known as the Anangu, who lead walking tours to inform visitors about the bush, food, local flora and fauna, and the Aboriginal Dreamtime stories of the area.
Currawong at Shelly Beach
The sandstone formation stands 346 meters high rising 863 meters above sea level, and most of its bulk lying underground. Changing color at different times of the day, glowing red at dawn and dusk. Little wonder myths and mysteries surround Uluru which is a pillar of the aboriginal spirit world.
Shelly Beach is Every Surfers Paradise No longer allowed to be climbed, but able to walk around the base and get a true feeling of this sacred location.

Here on the Central Coast of N.S.W., the beaches are all busy and the lifesavers are doing a wonderful job. Shelly Beach is still a favorite for surfers.
The birds are flocking to the garden for their morning feast, and Charlie the Pomeranian is still on guard.
